Privacy Policy
Effective October 7, 2026. ZO is run by ZO (the ZO team). Questions or deletion requests: antigravity0309.2@gmail.com.
ZO is an AI search app. You ask a question, ZO searches the web and answers with cards you can adjust. This page says what we keep, why, and who else sees your questions.
What we store
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your email, name, profile picture and Google account ID, from Google sign-in | To create your account and show who's signed in | Until you delete your account |
| Where you first came from (for example, a link tag like "utm_source=reddit") | To know which posts bring people to ZO | Until you delete your account |
| A daily count of questions asked, per device and per signed-in account | To run the daily limits | 30 days |
| A one-way scrambled ("hashed") version of your IP address, with a daily count | To stop abuse. We never store your raw IP address. | 30 days |
| Anonymous usage events (for example "asked a first question" or "signed in"), with a random session ID, the link tag, and phone or desktop | To see where people get stuck | 30 days |
| Whether you ticked "Email me ZO launch updates", and when | To know whether you want launch emails | Until you turn it off or delete your account |
| Answers you choose to save, including the question | So you can open them again | Until you delete that saved answer, or delete your account |
| Recent questions, only if you turn history sync on | So those questions can follow your account between devices | Only while history sync stays on. Turning it off deletes them. |
Unless you save an answer or turn history sync on, we don't store the questions you ask or the answers in our database. Your conversation lives in your browser tab and is gone when you close it or start a new chat.
Saved answers
Saved answers are kept until you delete them. Deleting your account deletes them too.
History sync
History sync is off by default. While you leave it on, we store recent questions on your account. We do not store them for history sync when it is off. Turning history sync off deletes those questions from your account.
Cookies
We set only essential cookies: a sign-in session cookie and a device ID cookie that runs the free daily limit. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Our visit counts come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies.
Your browser also keeps a few small settings on your device (not cookies): light or dark mode, cached example questions, and the link tag you arrived with.
We don't sell your data, and we don't share your email with advertisers.
We only email you about ZO launches if you tick "Email me ZO launch updates". The box starts unticked. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also turn it off in the account menu. Price alerts are coming.
Who else is involved
To answer a question, ZO sends it to other services. They get the text of your question (and, for follow-ups, a short summary of the conversation), not your email or name.
- Cloudflare hosts ZO, runs our server code and database (D1), runs some AI models (Workers AI), and provides cookie-free visit counts. Like any host, it handles your IP address to deliver the site.
- Google handles sign-in. When you choose to sign in, Google tells us your email, name, profile picture and account ID. If you tick the launch-updates box, your email is also kept in a Google Sheet we use as our mailing list.
- DeepSeek and the JEV model write the answers.
- Exa, Jina, Tavily, Wikipedia and DuckDuckGo run the searches.
- If configured, fallback AI providers may be used when the main ones are down.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. Don't put personal or sensitive information in your questions.
Affiliate links
ZO has no affiliate links today. If we add them, we'll say so on this page and label every card that contains one.
Deleting your data
Email antigravity0309.2@gmail.com from the address you signed in with and ask us to delete your account. We'll delete your account, sessions, usage counts, saved answers and any synced question history, remove you from the mailing list, and reply within 30 days of your request. You can also remove ZO's access in your Google account settings. That stops future sign-ins but doesn't delete what we already have, so email us too.
Children
ZO isn't meant for anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what we store about signed-in users, we'll show a notice in the app first.
